If you want to be fancy, you can use a plugin in each instance that allows you to right click a sign to jump to a server. Jumping between each server is as simple as using "/server servername" and having the appropriate permissions to be able to perform that command. Since they're all independent instances, the inventories are kept separate (no worry of someone spawning a stack of diamond blocks in Creative then coming back to Survival and blowing up your economy.). Creative and Lobby on my server is a flat map, while Survival is the standard map. Each instance has their own gamemode settings, whitelist settings, plugins list and maps. Each instance (survival, creative, lobby) operate independently of each other.

From the lobby instance, a user can connect to the creative instance or the survival instance. When a new user connects, it starts off in BungeeCord which forwards to the default instance (my lobby). There is a single config file for BungeeCord where you spell out what the real minecraft servers/ports are. Nothing but 25565 is connectable externally. Its job is to route user connections amongst the minecraft server instances (not virtualmachines, just seperate server processes on the same host).Īs an example, my BC instance listens on 25565, my "lobby" instance is on 25566, my creative instance is on 25567, and my survival instance is on 25568. The concept is that BungeeCord acts as a proxy only. I asked a question similar to this earlier and honestly, BungeeCord worked out way more awesome (and simpler) than expected. Thanks!ĮDIT: I want to have it all on the same server, aka, no BungeeCord.ĮDIT 2: Okay, I'll do BungeeCord, but I want all the chats of all the servers to be interconnected. I'll edit this if I have any more questions. I guess it would be by downloading a hub plugin, but I don't know which one to try. If it's BungeeCord, I want all the chats of all the servers to be interconnected.I don't need a pre-generated type of thing. I'm Voxeling the world now while I wait for replies, so it needs to fit with the world I'm making. When a player goes into the survival portal, they spawn in their last position from where they left. When a player joins the server, they always spawn in the hub.

We have three different worlds now - Survival, Creative, and SkyBlock. I've just added SkyBlock today, which made me come to the realization that I need a hub. Although this is a good thing in general, it also means that there's a lot of things I need to do to keep it organized. So my server has been growing quite nicely over the past year.
