Continue to the next section Adding a Printer Class to make the printer appear in System Preferences, Print & ScanĪdding a printer class is purely optional and allows the raw device to be listed in the System Preferences, Print & Scan area of the desktop. If Raw printing works with the vendor supplied driver, choose that over the Generic/Raw driver. Click Printers & Scanners, highlight the printer name on the left side and on the right side of the screen it should show the printers name. Click the Apple menu and then click System Preferences.
Make sure it shows just the printers name.
